From Rob:

Please join us for the December meeting of the D.C. Advocates for the
Arts this Friday from Noon to 1:30. This session will include a
presentation by two members of the District’s Office of Budget and
Planning. Viola Davis (deputy director for budget administration) and
John McGaw (interim director for capitol improvements) will provide an
overview of the D.C. Budget, and take questions from attendees.

Arts spending is a small portion of overall spending. Hearing where
money comes from, and where it goes, will inform how we make the case
for more arts support as we prepare for Arts Advocacy Day (March 30th,
2008.) All are welcome to join us for the meeting this Friday
(noon-1:30pm.) The meeting is being hosted by The Capitol Hill Arts
Workshop. The Capitol Hill Arts Workshop is located at 547 7th St. SE.
Washington DC 20003, two blocks from the Eastern Market metro stop.

If you’re unable to make this meeting but would like to receive updates
on D.C. Advocates activities let me know.
